Audrey Schield, LCSW #11564

Pronouns: She/Her

Hi, I’m Audrey.

I am a bilingual (Spanish) therapist in San Francisco.

I aim to walk alongside my clients and provide support as they work towards their goals. I am passionate about supporting individuals (children five and older) in how they can live authentically and navigate life’s challenges. In working with parents, couples, and families, I also enjoy listening to how relationships continue to grow and have the power to transform over time. Some of the settings in which I have focused my work include trauma and stressful life events, disability and illness, and family conflict. I also have experience working with neurodiverse, LGBTQ+, and Spanish-speaking communities.

My client-facing work motivates me to engage in ongoing training and activism so that I can serve as an advocate for the community that continues to shape “Therapy with Audrey.” I prioritize the safety of my clients, and I am grateful for the trust and vulnerability in the therapeutic relationship.

I enjoy being creative in all spaces. When I’m not working, that means exploring new trails with my dog, making art from recycled goods, and finding ways to put chocolate in every recipe I cook.

My Philosophy

My commitment as a mental health clinician is rooted in the belief that it’s okay not to be okay.

I use evidence-based, anti-oppressive practices throughout my clinical work and believe in empowering marginalized communities. I am dedicated to amplifying the voices of people who have been hurt by experiences of oppression, power, and control.

I believe in supporting my clients as they navigate personal and social barriers that impact their ability to lead meaningful lives. My approach is guided by the needs and goals of my clients, with a focus on their strengths and values. I build relationships with clients to support the change they are looking to see, with the compassionate understanding that nobody should suffer alone.
